DRBBA Mission and History

Mission

The mission of the Downtown Red Bluff Business Association (DRBBA) is to promote Downtown Red Bluff and continue to revitalize the Historic Business District.

The DRBBA is a 501 c(6) non-profit organization.

History

The association began in the early 1980s as the Downtown Women's Merchant Association (DWMA). The purpose of the DWMA was also to promote shopping in Downtown Red Bluff.

Gayle Kemp, longtime Red Bluff business owner, was a member of the original group and recalls it as being "lots of fun." The all female group would get together to plan and promote everything from Sunrise store hours in the summertime to National Pig Day; and of course they always participated in the annual Christmas Parade.

The DWMA eventually grew to include the male downtown business owners and was renamed the Historic Red Bluff Business Association (HRBA).

In 2004, the HRBA was renamed and is now known as the Downtown Red Bluff Business Association or DRBBA. The DRBBA functions to maintain and beautify Downtown Red Bluff as well as to promote events in the Historic Downtown area.

Many things have changed in the past several decades; one aspect has remained: Downtown Red Bluff is still a beautiful and historic area, and there's always something fun going on.

We welcome your visit to Historic Downtown Red Bluff, California!
